Artisan Roast,TTDI

I passed by this little cafe yesterday, after breakfast. The rustic setting of this cafe made me look inside to see what they were actually selling. #COFFEE!
It seemed like a gem hidden among concrete blocks. If you know Taman Tun, you'd know what I mean. Taman Tun is always busy.

Thank God for this place. Its about time TTDI had something like this.
Well, once you enter this premise, the time definitely slows down. The sights of bare red bricks and dimmed yellow lights..Mmm, then you take in a whiff of the aroma of fresh coffee beans.
The background music soothes you, and without noticing,  your pace drops down gradually.

I was like that when I stepped in. And only to notice a line of cakes on display. They looked interesting. Not your typical cake. These cakes were in difference sizes. Some were about 2cm x 2cm in size. They all looked very pretty, and rich with choc/cheese..
But no reviews from me on cakes today. I'm saving these for some other time.
Feel free to try em out and let me know what you think. Price ranges from RM2-RM10.

I moved along to the counter, and placed my order.
They had a very pretty chalkboard on helping you decide which drink to order.
Basically, its like a flow chart of your preferences. Milk - yes/no , then it flows to choc - yes / no - and so on.
But one thing that caught my attention was :
Coffee ; Yes --> Syrup;Yes ---> you're in a wrong cafe
That's right. It appears that Coffee served in AR is without sugar.
Not your average cafe

Seating area, can easily accommodate large groups

Flat White @ RM10

Hot Chocolate

Coffee is served. I ordered myself a Flat White. I was quite happy with my cuppa!
In one sip - I loved it!

It was creamy. Then you get the roasted coffee taste lingering on your tongue. It wasn't bitter, but it was like a foam, clouding your senses. Light, but strong. You get what i mean??
It seemed like the liquid wrapped a layer coffee juice on your tongue. It felt very smooth and silky, and the best part was that it did not leave a sour/bitter after taste.

I will definitely drop by again.
If you're a coffee goer, drop by and try it out yourself.

Daorae : how to eat like a Korean

Mr hubby,  took me for some Korean fair tonight. He felt like drinking soju, and had this random idea to have Korea food.

We went to Daorae because it was just  above the Korean mart. Daorae is the largest Korean chain restaurant in Malaysia
Yes. I know. I've never thought of trying this before despite all the branches everywhere. Heheheeh
Personally, I've never been to a Korean Bbq restaurant, so we didn't now what to order.

The menu had minimum order of 2 dishes for the Bbq section, while each person has to order at least one side dish which  could be equivalent to a main meal!

But we really wanted to try the Bbq, so we had a total of 4 dishes.
Oh, and not to mention, we had an array of mini appetizers  that were  refillable.
This made our table looked like a dinner for 6.

Mr Hubby serving a very diluted Korean tea

'Side Order 1' Beef with glass noodle- yes apperantly side orders comes with rice

'Side order 2' - Pork and rice

The BBQ
Pork and beef on the grill

Apparently, this is how to eat BBQ meat.  Accompanied with salad, a clove of garlic, soy & chilli sauce.

Free dessert - Shaved ice with syrup

Later that night. I puked. I think my body can't take too much Korean.
Will think twice if I have to go for Korean and Soju in a night.

Brox, rottweiler

So here i am blogging through my ol' trusted buddy, the Samsung Tab 7.0 :)
Its so easy to blog now especially after i have found a brand new keyboard dock in my drawer! This is how it looks like now:

Anyhoo, I just wanted to blog about my little, (well not so little now) new family member, Brox, the rottweiler!!
I got Brox as a present to Josh, for his 31st brithday :) Brox is now 5 months old, and look how big he is now :
We initially thought that he could be an indoor dog, so we started potty training him since we brought him back at 2 months old. Within a month, we had changed two bigger cages because he was growing so fast! Then he started teething and started biting every single thing. Not to mention, he started chasing my cats! Hahaha... We had no other choice but to leave him outside, with a much bigger cage, and backyard space. This is him when we took him out to the park :)
