The Church

Wedding

Date: 10.11.12 (10 Nov 12)
Venue: St John's Church Ipoh

The day finally came where I would be wedded to Joshua, in a church.
As some may know, we got registered exactly a year before, on 11.11.11

This is a long overdue post, which I hope you feast your eyes in this very happy and memorial day
which I have frozen from time

The Prep:

The Mood:

There was a little running around to do a day before the wedding, and on the wedding day.
You see the little petals on the red carpet? I had to pay 150 bucks for that because I forgot to order them earlier.  The florist was kind enough to tear up his roses and orchids just for me..
When you're desperate, $150 is like a penny.

The groom, entertaining guest while waiting

The crowd anticipating the moment and admiring the beautiful church..
The weather was a little wet, but thank God it wasn't raining when I entered

Here comes, ME!

The Grooms' men

A minor hiccup - the music for my walk in was not playing!!!
But my brother in law , Jeremy saved the day... he sang and strummed the guitar~
while we marched in

The Ceremony

Jeremy, the coolest brother in law (that because I only have 1.. hahaha) serenading the crowd with his music

Joshua's classmate since 7 years old came didn't miss this event either.
Thanks Prakash!!

11 more days!!!

I was just scrolling to my old post on our registration and engagement night. I couldn't help but to smile along at all the photos my eyes laid on...

ahhh... sweet beautiful memories. I'm sure the upcoming one would be just the same.

J & I have finally confirmed the seats and plannings. *phew*
Its been a challenging journey, a lot of calls/plans and negotiations.. but i think it will be all worth it when the day comes.
Dad keeps reminding me to savor every moment as this is once in a lifetime event.
At some point, however, I do feel it was a pain in the ass. hahah..

Oh well... 11 more days to be exact!! then everything would be so worth it!

We'll be heading back to Ipoh this weekend to confirm payments, and make ups, hair styling, and all those girly stuff... and then back to KL to brief my bridesmaids on the program list.

J & I plan to have lots of balloons and flowers :) I think it'd be very nice to have a mix of fun and romantic set to it.

Theme remains purple, with slight touch of green and pink :)

Your thoughts?

I'm just getting ready for the events that fall during dinner. The guest book/slideshows/confettis

All is in place! woooosaaaah!!!

24th Birthday

My morning started with me announcing my birthday to my colleagues.
I walked up to my work desk, and called the person sitting at the end of the room; and I went "its my birthday today!"

Everyone else turned around, and smiled while shaking their heads.

In the end, that 'everyone' sent me a birthday greeting that morning. :)
#i'm awesome like that

Now that the birthday excitement is gone, here comes the wedding excitement.
1 month and 6 days to go!!!

J and I have made the final plannings, but just have to reconfirm the seats. Somehow people here don't really follow RSVP datelines..

Besides that, everything else is falling into place! Can't wait for the day to come, and be over with! :)

Bali - Seminyak

Josh and I took a small vacation down to Bali earlier this August. We stayed in Favehotel. This is quite a new hotel compared to many there, but location wise is not appealing for beach goers. Like us, the beach was all that mattered, but we had to get burnt slowly under the bright hot sun for 20 minutes before we reach the sands. I must admit there are lots to see in that 20 minute walk.. These are the things that I captured along the way. Bali in my eyes. The beach and shops.

Trip organized by Dreamtrips

Art shop. I'd call it express service.
I got 2 paintings done here, a pug and Vitruve by Da Vinci

A local lady's portrait. I fell in love with the colors of this one. It was cheap, but I don't know where i'd hang it at home... its a little scary if I were to come down to my hall and see a face like that glowing in the dark. :S

Doing the final touches of my painting (costs 350 000 Rupiah ie. RM110)

I love this one! It doesn't look too flat like most pug paintings. This, is beautiful!I am going to frame it up and put it in my hallway :)

Some local snacks, cant remember what it is.
It had  fried beancurd, tempeh and a some veg. drizzled with sweet peanut sauce.
Very good.

Prepared right on the spot so the fried stuffs aren't soaked with the sauce.

Little monkey is the shops doorbell. It squeeks everytime a person passes through the door.
Smart way of attracting customers! I'm pretty sure an automatic alarm is cheaper than owning this monkey. haha

Local Nasi Padang. The dishes are stacked in bowls as you see. Displayed in a glass window.
Best way to eat like an indonesian. where the food is cheap and good.
The shop was so small, it could only fit 20 people the most.

The night life. Apparently, this club is for gays -___-

Beach Beach surf Sun Sun!

The water is amazingly cold. Just nice to dip in a sunny day!

A higher end restaurant. Verdict. I cook better.

A souvenir i bought for myself.
 Tote bag for RM15
